“A Stroll Under The Orange Sky “

Mehdi Sharifi

The works of Mehdi Sharifi place us at the border between myth and reality. The world depicted in these works is a witty and humorous narrative that also reveals a seriousness beneath the surface. His characters are neither completely human nor entirely detached from humanity. They embody a combination of contradictory traits: calm and chaotic, familiar and strange, humorous and serious, each transformed body bringing them closer to myth while simultaneously distancing them from it. This collection is an attempt to create a liminal space. A place where the narrative begins, but there is neither an end nor a conclusion. A tale that does not impose itself upon the audience, but immerses us in a world that is neither definable nor devoid of meaning. It creates a realm where story and non-story are intertwined.
