Jamal Rahmati | جمال رحمتی

Jamal Rahmati is a graduate of Graphic Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, and holds a Master of Arts in Animation from the Faculty of Cinema and Theater of the University of Arts. He has been a cartoonist for prestigious newspapers and magazines in Iran and the secretary of cartoon and cartoonists for prestigious publications such as Shargh, Ham Mihan, Hamshahri magazines, etc.

Rahmati has won several international awards, such as the Special Prize of the Satrikon International Film Festival in Poland, the Diploma of Honor of the South Korean Tajon Festival, the winner of the European International Comedy Festival, the Special Prize of the Warsaw Cartoon Museum in Poland, the Baku Prize for Best Animated Film, the winner of the Brazilian Piawi, the third place in the International Anti-Narcotics Festival and the second place in the Himal Festival of India.

جمال رحمتی متولد 1351 در زنجان است او فارغ‌التحصیل رشتهٔ گرافیک از دانشکده هنرهای زیبای دانشگاه تهران وهمچنین فوق لیسانس انیمیشن از دانشکده سینما تئاتر دانشگاه هنر ‌است. رحمتی کاریکاتوریست روزنامه‌ها و مجلات معتبری در ایران و دبیر سرویس کاریکاتور و کارتون نشریات معتبری همچون شرق،  هم میهن، مجلات همشهری و … بوده است . اوهمچنین مدرس دانشگاه است و تا کنون کارگردانی چند فیلم کوتاه داستانی را نیز تجربه کرده‌است

رحمتی  برنده ی۲۶ جایزه بین‌المللی از جمله ۶ جایزه اول جهانی است. او برنده ی جایزه ویژه جشنواره بین‌المللی ساتریکون لهستان، دیپلم افتخار جشنواره تایجون کره جنوبی، جایزه اول جشنواره بین‌المللی طنز اروپا، جایزه ویژه موزه کاریکاتور ورشو در لهستان، جایزه بهترین فیلم انیمیشن باکو، جایزه اول جشنواره پیااویی برزیل، جایزه سوم جشنواره بین‌المللی ضد مواد مخدر، جایزه دوم جشنواره هیمال هند و … می باشد
